Hi, I’m Emerson Cook, LCSW

I am a husband, girl-dad, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and therapist who believes in creating a space where men can finally exhale.

I know how difficult it can be to ask for help. I also know how heavy life can feel when you're expected to have all the answers, keep it together, and never show weakness. That pressure? It’s real. And it’s exhausting.

That’s why I do what I do.

I became a therapist because I’ve seen firsthand what happens when mental health struggles are ignored. People I love deeply have suffered in silence, and that lit a fire in me to be part of the solution. I’m here to make sure you don’t have to walk through that pain alone.

I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Alabama, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Newnan, Georgia. I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including psychiatric inpatient units, community based counseling, hospice and palliative care, and skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient counseling. Each of these experiences taught me how to show up for people in their most vulnerable moments—and how powerful it is when someone finally feels heard.

Outside the Therapy Room

When I’m not working, I’m recharging. You might find me reading a good book, riding my bike, or playing a game. I love being outdoors, whether I’m near the water, hiking in the mountains, or spending a lazy Saturday at a local festival with my wife and daughter. Life is full of small joys, and I try to savor them.
